If truth is a correct statement relative to God, then the Pope's opinion conflicts with this definition: as God is more majority than any majority (thus, God's truth and God's decision should always be the same).
If truth is a correct statement relative to any arbitrary entity, then this fits Pope's opinion.

Hi Jean
Glad you posted at last. Short and sweet. I like it.
I'm not religious at all (although I was raised a christian), but those words are very true.
Even though I don't have religious beliefs, I do believe that all religions carry important morals and values.
It's a shame that people spend so much time arguing over religion, instead of embracing it and loving life.
We aren't here long enough to argue whose God is better.
thanks, too, Dan, for sharing more of your thoughts. i just got back from the Camiguin trip.
i'm not religious either, although i used to be a devout Catholic girl who wanted to be a nun! : )
i'd like to believe i've grown a notch higher now and become more spiritual.
and i've always believed that the best example of one's true religion is how one lives one's life and how one treats people.
Sorry for bringing up this... but...
What is "truth"?

Conclusion: Pope said truth is relative.
